The Keyboard Comfort Pad was developed in 2000 in order to provide a non-slip surface that goes beneath the computer keyboard. Today’s keyboards are so lightweight that they slip around so much on the desktop that a typist may spend too much time and energy pulling the keyboard back into place.
The Keyboard Comfort Pad is manufactured of neoprene, a spongy but tightly textured rubberized material with a non-skid surface that clings to the desktop and prevents the keyboard from sliding around at the same time. While developing the Keyboard Comfort Pad, an additional benefit was discovered, namely that the typing impact on the hands and wrists was greatly reduced.
